The North American ECA Sparks Scrubber Fear

The US Environmental Protection Agency(EPA)and Transport Canada jointly petitioned the IMO for creation of the world's Iargest Emission Control Area(ECA)in July.Its implementation will mean that the US-Canada zone would align with the global ECA standard:1% fuel sulphur content in July 2010 (from 1.5% currently),then 0.1% in January 2015.
